Lady Frances Katherine Josepha Fisher, nee Delves Broughton (known as Kitty) was a devoted, robust woman of her era. Kitty was described as beloved, gentle, sweet and faithful by friends. She married Jacky in 1866 and remained married to him for 52 years until her death in 1918.

Kitty knew Jacky like no other. The letters between them over the years, through the many separations due to Navy commitments, proved that their friendship and love lasted throughout their marriage. This was in spite of Jacky’s other women including Nina, Duchess of Hamilton.

She mixed in Navy circles, Royal circles and many other different circles of her time.
