Winston Churchill, The Prodigy & The Nemesis

1874 Born Blenhim Palace, Blenhim Park, Woodstock, Oxfordshire

1908 Married Clementine Hozier, 5 children

1965 Died Kensington, London

John Fisher first met Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill in 1907 in Biarritz, France. Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty from 1911–1915. At that time he was in his 40’s.

Fisher and Churchill were a  partnership like no other. They challenged, chased and pursued their desires to rule the British Navy.

They started as a phenomenal match - Winston Churchill in his desire to take the fleet to War and John Fisher - in his desire to create a Navy to deter Britain’s enemies and keep peace.

The relationship ended in disaster after the Gallipoli campaign.

Their friendship never recovered and ended with Jacky’s professional life and reputation in shatters.
